Onboard Maintenance (OBM) plan of using sea stock paints is a plan that protects your vessel in superb condition between harbors. These paints are easy to apply and easy to use and will give you remarkable cosmetics and corrosion protection.
By having an onboard maintenance plan, the appearance and the performance of the coating will meet your expectations.
Long term paint consumption and maintenance cost will be reduced and all of the ship’s crew will spend less time on paint works. On the other hand, the cost during dry-dock will be minimized, too. Sea stock range of products consists of Alkyd, Epoxy, and Polyurethane paints.
Onboard maintenance Alkyd paints are the IriLux series and IriPho. These are the benefits of alkyd paints:
- Compatible with existing aged coatings
- Easy to apply
- Good color retention, durability, and weathering resistance
2-Component Epoxy Sea Stock paints are surface tolerant and protect steel in harsh corrosive environments.
You can also use 2K Polyurethane Sea Stock paints as a durable topcoat. Good color retention and weathering resistance are benefits of the IRIS polyurethane paint series.

Hi, for painting deck & superstructures epoxy is better or alkyd paints?
Thanks.
Hello. Epoxy paints are usually better and they have more durability, but the important note is that they should be recoated by polyurethane paint. Otherwise chalking will happen.
